Private tours
We visited Crete during the first week of January, just after Christmas holidays and we thought that everything would be closed. We came across the VisitPhaistos website and we decided to book a tour of Phaistos, since our accommodation was close to Matala seemed like a perfect option for a half day tour. We were lucky to have Panos as our guide for the day, owner of the company and did a very thorough guided tour, not boring at all, according to my two teenage sons. Panos got us interested in the Minoas civilization, so we decided to arrange his services for a tour the next day. We wanted a combination of Heraklion, a winery and of course Knossos. Panos picked us up with his van and included all the “must see” places of our request. We covered the palace of Knossos and a nice walking tour of Herklion city, were we had a nice snack. At the winery Panos had organized a tasting and a tour of the winery, the owner of which was very friendly and accommodating . As a bonus, Panos made an extra stop at a second winery, in order to get a more complete idea of the Cretan wine industry . We were never rushed through any of the sites, Panos’ English are perfect, he provided a lot of information about Crete and the economy of the island . Highly recommended, we will plan with Panos our next trip to Crete, this time on the western part of the island.

We had an amazing tour of Phaistos with Ioanna . Although last minute, she arranged the pick up from our accommodation, the tickets and all details. We would book again without hesitation, we just hope we had another week on Crete…

Ideal private tour.
We were staying in the south of Crete and we were interested in relocating to Chania, but we needed not just a driver, but a guide in order to be able to visit places of interest along the way. Panos was able to fulfill our request and he was really beyond our expectations. Her picked us up from our accommodation at Sivas and we managed to visit Phaisos palace and Arkadi momastery . We had a nice stop for lunch at Rethymnon, where Panos provided a nice walking tour of the old town and he dropped us off at our AirBnB at Chania . Easy to book, the tour was according to our request . If you want tailor made tours it’s highly recommended.

Tailor made according to our needs…
We are a party of 6 friends and when it comes to visiting places, we prefer to do it at our own pace, without stress. Sometimes websites offer private tours , but they don’t really wish to flexible. We contacted Panos and Ioanna of VisiPhaistos team and they provided a van for the transportation and Panso was our guide for the day. We decided to start the day without a plan . Panos provided all the information we needed, made all the arrangements for the day ( and they were really last minute ). Highly recommended
